Before installing this upgrade, make sure that your Mac is ready.

If your Mac is using an earlier version of any Mac operating system, you should install the latest Apple software updates, which can include important security updates and updates for the apps that are installed by macOS, such as Safari, Books, Messages, Mail, Music, Calendar, and Photos. Newest OS – Option-⌘-R; This option will be the newest or latest version of macOS that can be installed on your Mac. My mac is stuck on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 and won’t update past that, no updates on app store no nothing, I recently bought an iPhone x and iTunes won’t let me sync my old iphone back up because it needs an update which i cannot get, its frustrating me, I don’t know what to do anymore, I’ve looked everywhere on the internet and can’t find a solution.
